Few leaders embody resilience and vision quite like Dr. Carlton C. Crockwell Sr., Chairman and CEO of Security Associates Limited. With nearly four decades of experience in Bermuda's security industry, he now oversees an organization of more than 200 professionals while shaping the future of safety, governance, and risk management across the island. Dr. Crockwell's journey has been anything but ordinary. Though originally aspiring to a career in law enforcement, his epilepsy redirected his path and what could have been a limitation became the foundation of a lifelong purpose. At just 17 years old, earning $5 an hour as a security guard, he began climbing step by step through the ranks of the industry. From front-line guard to qualified professional investigator, through to senior management and ultimately major shareholder, his story is one of determination and an unwavering drive for excellence. Academically accomplished, Dr. Crockwell holds a Diploma in Business Administration, an MBA from the University of Liverpool, and advanced theological degrees, including a Doctor of Theology. His leadership philosophy is rooted in ethics, service, and people development, a blend of professional expertise and values-based guidance.  Beyond the boardroom, Dr. Crockwell has served as Chairman of Bermuda's Road Safety Council, contributed to the Human Rights Commission, and led as Chairman of the Security Division of the Chamber of Commerce. In all roles, his focus remains clear: building safer communities and empowering people.  While proud of his professional achievements, Dr. Crockwell treasures time with his family most, especially his grandchildren, and enjoys cycling and walking.
